Hi all,
For those of you who missed it, I was on the 6 o’clock news last night talking about Breast Cancer prevention. The link is http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_15776.aspx
Going to Africa in March
I will be living my dream in March 2008. My dream is to go to Africa and climb Mt. Kimlimanjaro and then do some volunteering in the orphanage in Kenya. I am climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer foundation. This cause is close and dear to my heart.
In January 2005 I helped train 5 climbers for UPKILI® CLIMB FOR BREAST CANCER. They inspired me to join the 2008 UPKILI® CLIMB FOR BREAST CANCER, and volunteer to work at an orphanage to help the women and children in Africa. In 2006 my half sister passed away at 32 from breast cancer. In 2007 my best friend, Kelly McIvor was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently locked in battle with the disease. Both Kelly and Ayah are my inspiration for this journey to Africa.
If you would like to donate please contact me or check me at upkili.com.
How To Achieve The Impossible
This quote was brought to my attention by my friend Abigail Villamin
Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Dr. Blessyl’s Confidence Tip
Toasting Tips http://www.emilypost.com/everyday/tips_on_toasts.htm
1. The host goes first
Traditionally, the host or hostess offers the first toast. The more informal the occasion the less this tenet applies.
2. Rise to the occasion
The person delivering the toast stands (the exception: a small, informal occasion). Everyone else—include the person being toasted—remains seated, unless the toaster instructs everyone to do otherwise
3. The response
When toasted, the “toasteeu201D; does not stand, nor drink to herself. Once the toast is finished, she simply rises, bows her acknowledgement, and says thank you. She may also raise her own glass to propose a toast to the host and anyone else she wants to honor.
4. Prepare
Keep it short and to the point. You want the spotlight to stay on the toastee, not you. Tie what you say to the event that is being celebrated. Write out what you will say ahead of time and practice. Don’t let nerves bother you—speak clearly and with confidence.
5. Aim for sincerity over eloquence
Including a few personal remarks—a reminiscence, praise, or a relevant story or joke—is good, but keep with the emotion of the occasion.

Know Your Worth
I want to share a poem from my cousin Pamela it’s an awesome poem called “Know your worth”.
*KNOW WHAT YOU’RE WORTH…AND BE WILLING TO ACCEPT THAT PEOPLE DON’T ALWAYS HAVE TO LOVE YOU FOR THE RIGHT REASONS, FOR YOUR REASONS. KNOW THAT PEOPLE WON’T ALWAYS STAY FOR YOU. KNOW THAT PEOPLE LEAVE EVEN THOUGH THEY LOVE YOU. KNOW THAT THE WORLD IS NOT PROMISED TO YOU. KNOW THAT GOD LOVED YOU ENOUGH TO PUT YOU HERE, NOW YOU HAVE TO LOVE HIM ENOUGH TO STAY HERE. KNOW THAT THERE’S NOTHING AND NOONE WORTH DEPRECIATING YOUR VALUE FOR. KNOW WHEN TO LET GO, AND WHEN TO HOLD ON. KNOW THAT EVEN THOUGH IT MAY HURT NOW, YOU’VE FELT THIS WAY BEFORE AND GOT THROUGH IT, AND YOU WILL FEEL THIS WAY AGAIN, AND YOU WILL, STILL, GET THROUGH IT. “THIS TOO SHALL PASS” BELIEVE THAT. KNOW THAT PEOPLE HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO LIE, THEY’RE HUMAN. KNOW THAT FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE SIMPLE DECEPTIONS, AND EVERYONE IS GUILTY OF IT. LOVE YOURSELF, LOVE YOUR LIFE, KNOW WHAT YOU’RE WORTH, AND DON’T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE. BE ORIGINAL, DON’T FALL INTO OTHER PEOPLES’ PROMISES AND DECISIONS. LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE, AND APPRECIATE THE PEOPLE THAT LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE, AND RID YOURSELF OF THE PEOPLE THAT CAN’T. KNOW THAT PEOPLE, THINGS, POLITICS, LANDS, AND DECISIONS…CHANGE. KNOW THAT’S NOT ANY FAULT OF YOURS. KNOW YOURSELF. KNOW WHO YOU ARE. KNOW WHAT YOU’RE WORTH. KNOW YOUR VALUE. KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS. KNOW WHAT YOU CAN, AND LEAVE THE REST FOR GOD TO SHOW YOU AND TELL YOU WHEN HE’S READY.
